On Thursday the 8th of April 2010, the management of both the Kales Group at Schiphol Airport and Jan de Rijk Logistics at Roosendaal, have signed an agreement regarding the take over as per this date of Kales Air Cargo Trucking by Jan de Rijk Logistics.

It is the intention of both management teams to realise a quick connection of the Kales trucking activities with the Jan de Rijk trucking network in Europe.

Mr. Peter Kales states that in the present market situation and the relatively small scale of the trucking operation it is difficult to realise a profitable exploitation and therefore they have been looking for alternative possibilities for trucking services and they decided to join Jan de Rijk Logistics.

The Kales Group is an international GSA, that has, not only at Schiphol Airport, but also at several other European Airports, offices, representing in total more than 100 airlines. Furthermore, the Kales Group has been nominated the No. 1 General Sales and Service Agent in the world.

The Jan de Rijk management team is happy with a further extension of the trucking services and the “new” customer Kales Group. They are confident that this take over will contribute to the extensive trucking services and they foresee many synergy advantages.

Jan de Rijk is an international logistics service provider that arranges not only airfreight trucking, but also perishables logistics, retail distribution and warehousing.
