32 - 40 uren
Do you get energy from connecting customers and technology, translating requirements into clear integration agreements and keeping several short integration projects moving at the same time? As EDI & API Integration Specialist, you take ownership of customer and partner integrations from scope to go-live, without developing the integrations yourself. Whether you are at the start of your career or already experienced in integrations, there is room to grow into the role.

EDI & API INTEGRATION SPECIALIST (32 – 40 HOURS)
You coordinate EDI and API integrations with customers, carriers, suppliers and other external partners. You work at the intersection of business and IT: you identify what information is needed, agree with the customer how it will be supplied and translate this into clear specifications for developers.
  • Guide new customer and partner integrations from scoping through implementation.
  • Gather and translate business and integration requirements.
  • Create functional specifications, mappings and interface agreements.
  • Coordinate implementation with customers, suppliers and internal or external developers.
  • Facilitate technical testing and coordinate acceptance testing with business users.
  • Support go-live and resolve issues in message flows.
  • Maintain integration standards, data quality and documentation.
  • Optimize existing integrations and data exchange. Promote our existing standards to keep integrations as straightforward and efficient as possible.

On a typical day, you might first discuss the scope and required data for a new integration with a customer. You then document the agreed mapping and requirements for the developers and coordinate the next steps. Later, you facilitate a technical test or help business users prepare their acceptance testing. Along the way, you keep your other integration projects moving and align priorities independently.

This position can suit a starter, junior or senior specialist. An integration background is valuable, but experience working between business and IT and an interest in running smaller IT projects can also be a good fit.

  • HBO-level working and thinking ability.
  • Experience with EDI and/or API integrations, or relevant experience at the intersection of business and IT.
  • Knowledge of message standards such as EDIFACT, XML and JSON.
  • Experience with requirements, mappings and testing.
  • Affinity with logistics processes and supply-chain collaboration.
  • Strong analytical and communication skills.
  • A structured, accurate and solution-oriented way of working.
  • The ability to coordinate stakeholders and projects without hierarchical authority.
  • The independence to set priorities and act on them.
  • Good command of English, Dutch is an advantage.
