Customer Service Assistant (fulltime)

Jan de Rijk Logistics are a leading international road transport company transporting Air freight and industrial cargo throughout Europe.
For our office in Hounslow, Middlesex we are looking for an fulltime Customer Service Assistant.

The job description

  • We are looking for a self motivated individual to work alongside and support our existing team in a busy transport office;
  • Working 10hrs per day on a 4 on 4 off (days) 0700-1700;
  • Duties include taking bookings via email, fax or telephone and creating orders on our in-house computer system;
  • Raising all necessary customs documentation, checking supplier invoices, following up on POD requests and resolving customs queries;
  • Providing shipment status reports to all customers advising of delays or problems.

Ideally you will have experience gained within the Air cargo / Road transport industry and a good working knowledge of customs procedures, the ability to speak a second European or eastern European language is also desirable.
